About the Artist

 Cynthia is an experienced makeup artist with over 13 years of knowledge and a broad-based understanding of cosmetics and the cosmetic industry. Artistically, Cynthia is well-known for her clean and flawless style which gives her brides a glowing radiance that appears to come from within. Her work and expert advice has helped women find and bring forth their natural beauty. In addition to her freelance work, Cynthia is often invited throughout the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay area as the featured artist for makeup lines, Laura Mercier, Christian Dior, Estee' Lauder and Prescriptive's. Cynthia's artistry skills come from and innate sense of color and design, as well as her passion and love of art. She contributes this passion to the years she lived in Laguna Beach, California where she discovered her artistic abilities through art history, painting and sculpting classes. To further realize her personal and professional goals she founded Eye for Detail Artistry in 2003. Among Cynthia's many accolades are her 4 invitations to do the makeup for Sacramento Bride & Groom Magazine cover models.

Philosophy

 Cynthia has an "Eye for Detail". Every woman has features they like and most have a feature they don't like. Enhance what makes you feel special and hide the flaws that don't. Keep make up simple and follow the "less is more rule". Notice the beauty not the makeup! You need to be approachable, huggable and photographic.

Products

 Cynthia uses primarily Laura Mercier cosmetics. These products are long lasting, photographic and suitable for all skin types. " I believe in the philosophy, performance and science behind this cosmetic line and have had first hand experience and opportunity to meet personally, work and train with this World Renowned make-up artist".

Consultation

 Cynthia will travel to meet with you for an initial hour & a half to three hours in order to design and discuss your desired look. Your preview can be arranged in her studio, at a retail store, or on location. Collect pictures/photographs of makeup application that has caught your eye. Remember a preview is a time for you to explore all your options. Try different looks and be vocal! Don't be shy in discussing your wants. Everything will be carefully documented and before and after photos will be taken leaving no questions un-answered on the day of your wedding.
